We have been making these systems since 1995. The year before, we had called the inventor of these wonderful devices, Wayne Dodge, to order another -only to find out from his widow of three years that this fantastic system was doomed to die with him.
Having now used my first system for years and faced with the prospect of returning to old methods of chimney cleaning, we pleaded with Cindy Dodge to let me see if we could find enough parts in Wayne's workshop (he was a machinist at Bath Iron Works) to make one last scrubber.
She agreed and we made the trip to Maine only to discover the raccoons and nature had obliterated Wayne's shop. We did, however, recover enough to go on and, with Cindy's help finding old vendor receipts, we were able to make a duplicate (it couldn't be improved on) of Wayne's patented designs.
Cindy now graciously allows me the use of her husband's patent and we duplicate his genius in my shop in Peacham, Vermont. These systems have operated trouble-free for over (30) years now.
