The Chimney Scrubber quickly and literally removes burning creosote. Firefighters have long needed this effective and compact tool to handle all aspects of the number one cause of structure fires in the north country, chimney fires. The CHIMNEY SCRUBBER answers that call.

Made of extra heavy stainless steel and machine quality cast iron the CHIMNEY SCRUBBER brush can be hurled into a raging chimney fire to scrape the burning sidewalls clean. Typical deployment is completed in TEN minutes.

Chimney Scrubber is now used by over 400 Fire Depts in twenty states and four Canadian provinces.

CHIMNEY SCRUBBER STORY

In 2008 a fireman from Pennsylvania, Richard Yale, called the maker of the Dodge Brush, Matt Kiley, and told him what a great tool it was for PUTTING OUT CHIMNEY FIRES. He explained that what fire departments needed was a kit that contained a selection of brushes and a rugged bag to make it easy to carry and store in a truck cabinet.

Kiley and his company enlisted the support of local Vermont fire departments and over the next year and half strengthed the coils to withstand the high temps of burning creosote, heavied up the chain for better handling and added a selection of weights for different chimney designs and fire situations, such as blockages.

The kit premiered at the 2009 New England Fire Chiefs Convention. Eleven departments from four different states bought the system. All eleven of them, as well as ever growing list of departments, use this tool and love it for its speed, effectiveness and storability.
